In 2011, CONSOL Energy formed a strategic partnership with Hess
Corporation to explore for and develop oil, liquids, and gas on
200,000 acres of Utica Shale in Ohio. Our current drilling schedule
will include operations in Tuscarawas, Noble, Portage, Mahoning and
Trumbull counties in the eastern region of the state. During 2012,
CONSOL Energy held open houses for the public in these areas,
providing an opportunity for the public to interact with company
employees knowledgeable about our operations, ask questions and
