Separating CONSOL’s Businesses – Pulling Value Forward And Providing Greater Transparency

On July 1, 2015, CNX Coal Resources LP (NYSE: CNXC) was spun out of CONSOL Energy in order to manage the operational and administrative functions of the company’s best-in-class coal assets. This was a critical step in establishing CONSOL Energy as a pure play natural gas exploration and production company.

The Bailey Mine Complex located in Greene and Washington counties, Pennsylvania, is the largest underground coal mine complex in North America. Consisting of the Bailey, Enlow Fork and Harvey mines, and a central preparation plant, it is also among the safest and most productive complexes in the world.
