As the owner of 398,000 surface acres of land in the United
States and Canada, CONSOL Energy depends on its subsidiary, Land
Resources Inc., to oversee various projects, including:
- Selling coal, oil and gas reserves that the company does not
intend to develop
- Donating land for conservation activities and to support
charitable organizations and public institutions
- Developing suitable property for commercial use
- Sustaining and harvesting timber
- Renting property for agricultural and non-agricultural use
- Leasing mineral rights
Land Resources
The Land Resources also manages innovative conservation projects
and handles land donations. Partners in these endeavors include the
National Wild Turkey Federation, The Nature Conservancy, Stream
Restoration, Ducks Unlimited and national, state and local wildlife
