At CONSOL Energy, we believe that the long-term utilization of our coal is vital. We recognize that in order to make that a reality, we must have the mindset and culture that is built upon the foundational principle of allocating all of the resources at our disposal both efficiently and responsibly.
One of the cornerstones of our company’s legacy has been the ability to adapt, innovate and re-invent over many decades, and we will continue to do so in order to be the safest, most responsible coal company in the world. Not only does our commitment to responsible business practices create long-term value for our employees, shareholders and the communities where we live and work, but it is part of who we are at CONSOL Energy.
Our approach to corporate responsibility is multifaceted, revolving primarily around the safety of our workforce but also being a good neighbor to the communities in which we operate. We are focused on minimizing impacts across our operational footprint, implementing sustainable principles in our use of water resources, reducing process air emissions, and restoring mine properties while considering environmental, social and economic benefits for future generations.
